Information

The Medellín River, flows though the Colombian city of Medellín. As is the case with many of the rivers flowing through large cities around the world, population growth, urbanization and industrialization had turned the river into a dump site for millions of tons of household and industrial waste.

There is currently a concerted effort to restore the river back to its former condition.This river flows into to the Nechi River which in turn flows into the Cauca River.
