Crab Key (Cayo Cangrejo) is an island off the coast of Providencia. It is approximately two hectares in size and is the result of volcanic eruption. It is basically made up of a number of very rocks. The key has steep slopes and a maximum elevation of about 30 meters.
Surrounding the island is a coral reef and water with multiple shades of turquoise, azure, and blue. The water has an average depth of twenty feet and is so clear that you can easily see the bottom. Crab Key is ideal for diving and offers snorkelling gear for hire.
