Berrio Park (Parque Berrío) is located in the heart of Medellin and can be accessed at Estación Parque Berrío. The Park is the oldest in Medellin, and has changed quite a bit over the decades. 
The Park is a memorial to Pedro Justo Berrio, a president, statesman, and visionary of Colombia. His statue stands opposite the station.
The park use to have trams although no trace of them is left. There is however the oldest church structures in the Aburrá Valley. The station is surrounded by Plazuela Nutibara the Palace of Culture, the Museum of Antioquia, Hotel Nutibara, and Parque Botero, an outdoor museum with sculptures of Antioquia Maestro Fernando Botero.
