The people of Canada are known as Canadians. Canada is a multi-ethnic nation, home to people of many different ethnic and national backgrounds. Many Canadians identify themselves with both their nationality and their ancestral origins. Aside from the indigenous Aboriginal peoples of Canada, nearly all Canadians or their ancestors immigrated within the past five centuries. Aboriginal peoples in Canada comprise the First Nations, Inuit, and Métis.

Some famous Canadians include: Avril Lavigne, Pamela Anderson, Romeo Dallaire, Shania Twain, Nelly Furtado, Keanu Reeves, Celine Dion, Alanis Morissette, Bryan Adams, Neil Young, and Jim Carrey.
